A fast-growing perennial with finely divided grey-green foliage and pretty mauve flower heads that are displayed on long stalks which resemble pincushions.  The flowers are long-lasting and produced in masses throughout summer.  The plant is an insect magnet and it is very common to see butterflies feeding on its nectar.

ECOLOGICAL BENEFITS:
The flowers are very popular with insects, particularly butterflies (e.g. Acraea horta butterfly)

MAINTENANCE:
Low maintenance. Remove dead flower heads to keep it neat and to encourage perpetual flowering.

WATER REQUIREMENTS:
This plant is drought-resistant and requires very little water.
