Aloe globuligemma
DESCRIPTION
This aloe is usually stemless but sometimes has a creeping habit. The blue-green leaves have white edges and are arranged in basal rosettes. The leaves are armed with numerous, firm but harmless white prickles.
The flower stalk has horizontal branches which carry upturned flowers. Flower buds are red but turn a dull pinkish-white at maturity.

It is interesting to hear about our plants gracing homes throughout the world.
Depending on your watering regime, your growing medium may need some soil in order for the plants to drain freely and to get additional nutrients.
I’m not experienced with your weather conditions, but it sounds like you’ve got the situation under control. When the plant begins to look unhealthy or fails to flower, you’d need to assess and alter the conditions.

These are available in large numbers in my local nurseries in UAE. I have had a few for nearly 6 months – but havent seen any flowers. Do these need fertiliser or will they flower annually ? I am using 50% compost and 50% perlite mix – is that good enough ? I have learnt to keep them in the shade around 4-8 feet from a window – in the direct UAE sunlight ( quite fierce ) they turn a deep brown – do you have better tips on lighting ?
