Hi Garth
Thanks for visiting Plantbook.
Bauhinia tomentosa is naturally found in some areas of Mpumalanga, so should be permissible in Marloth Park.
It is smaller-growing and less common than Bauhinia galpinii (Pride of-De Kaap) which is prolific in that region.

Good Day
Would this plant be found in Marloth Park, Mpumulanga, South Africa.
They are very strict with planting plants which are not indigenous to the area.
Your response would be appreciated

This book (Tree book) is very useful to what I’m doing. I am an employee of the Kenya Forest Service in Kenya and this is my first to peruse this book and found that it can assist me in identifying many tree species that I know and those I don’t know.
