Crinum macowanii

DESCRIPTION

A robust, deciduous bulbous plant which bears very large, trumpet-shaped flowers which are borne on a long tube. The leaves are deeply channelled with wavy margins. The flowers vary from white, to varying shades of pink. The pollen is black. This is a wild flower found in various habitats (mountains, grasslands, near rivers, rocky areas) which is a rewarding garden subject, producing more than three inflorescences in succession.
