  1. Hi Aiden

    Thanks for visiting Plantbook.

Dovyalis caffra is generally an easy tree to grow and it thrives in the eastern summer-rainfall and frost-free coastal regions of South Africa. If your tree isn’t flowering, then there must be an imbalance which could be the result of several factors. As a start, you can:-
    – Check your soil – they prefer a loam soil
    – Monitor the amount of water the plant is receiving. Over-watering may encourage growth of leaves but may hinder flower production.
    – Frost can have an affect on the plant’s health.

If the plant is generally healthy, then it may be best to consult with an arborist to access the tree.

    Flourish!
    Glenice

  2. Greetings, Glenice.

What could be the reason a Kei Apple doesn’t flower, but is already at least 8 years old?
