DESCRIPTION

A neatly-shaped, dense rounded evergreen shrub that can occassionally grow into a small tree. It has a brownish-grey, smooth bark with vertical striations revealing an orange underbark. The leaves are small, lanceolate and hairless. They are bright green with red tips and paler below. It bears tiny creamy-white star-like flowers which appear in pair on the branches. The fruit is a 2- to 3-lobed capsule which becomes pinkish red when mature.
