Salvia dolomitica
DESCRIPTION
This perennial shrub profusely covered with grey-green leaves which have an unusual yet pleasing scent. It bears lavender-pink and white flowers which are carried on dark maroon flower bracts. The plant spreads slowly by rhizomes and eventually creates a dense thicket. This sage is a wonderful addition to any garden planting with its fresh, pleasantly aromatic foliage which can be complemented by other shrubs, herbaceous perennials or fynbos. It will also add a calm grey hue, with its abundant flowers, to a summer garden display. It is suitable as a foreground or background planting.

We’re based in Gauteng so not familiar with nurseries in your area. Perhaps some of the larger nurseries in the Durban area can assist with deliveries to you.

I accidentally came across your website this morning while looking for a certain plant’s seeds on the Internet. Being a passionate “Patio gardener (I am 68, disabled and a state pensioner living in an apartment in a Lifestyle Village in Freeland Park, Scottburgh (KZN), I was absolutely delighted with the plants shown on your website, as well as the detailed descriptions of each plant (SO useful for all gardeners).
However, may I please ask WHERE one can obtain either the seeds or plants shown on your website, as many of them are very unusual / rare. I am fairly sure the seeds of some of these plants will not be available at shops such as PnP, Woolworths, Builder’s Express, etc. Being disabled and immobile, it is impossible for me to physically go to a local store or nursery to obtain plants or seeds. I am only able to order goods online in South Africa.
If you could furnish contact numbers and email addresses of any online nurseries where one could obtain any seeds or plants mentioned above, I would be MOST GRATEFUL.
