DESCRIPTION
An evergreen rhizomatous perennial which produces large, thinly-textured leaves with a distinct midrib that form from the base of the stem.
The plant produces a single flowerhead in one season. The flowerhead is a big ball consisting of up to 200 salmon-red flowers which are held above the foliage on a tall stem.
It produces green berries that ripen to scarlet during winter. The berries are favoured by birds and can remain on the plant for up to 2 months.
